How can I get my prescription refilled?
The fastest and easiest way to get a prescription refill is by asking your pharmacy to fax us a refill request form. We work
with all the local pharmacies and return all requests within 48 hours. If you require a controlled substance prescription refill, please call us and we will transfer you to the refill line. If you need an urgent medication refill, please call the office.
How do I get a copy of my child's vaccine/shot record?
All requests for vaccine/shot records must be submitted to our office in writing. You may fax us at 410-956-6637 or e-mail
us at info@southriverpediatrics.com. Please include the child's legal first and last name with date of birth. Please allow us 24
hours to complete your requests.
How to get my child's medical records copied?
Print out the MEDICAL RELEASE FORM, complete and return to our office. Once we receive the signed release form we will contact the parent with the cost of copying. After payment is received we will then copy the chart for the parent to pick-up. There is a cost of .50 cents per page (we copying using front and back of the page). There is an extra charge if the copied chart is mailed off instead of being picked up. Please allow 2-3 weeks for copying. For more information visit www.mbp.state.md.us.
Do we offer prenatal visits?
South River Pediatrics offers prenatal "get acquainted" visits to expecting parents at no charge. These visits are scheduled as the last appointment of the day, Monday through Friday. The appointments are designed to give parents the opportunity to come and meet one of our physicians, tour the office, and ask questions. We recommend scheduling the appointment two -three months in advance.

Appointments?
To avoid a long waiting time in our office, we prefer to schedule all visits. If you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer an appointment to you with another provider. Out of courtesy to our scheduled patients, we may be forced to ask you to reschedule your appointment.
Appointment Cancellations?
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call and reschedule. If you are running late, please notify our office so they may switch the appointment to the appropriate time; however if it is a well visit we do charge $40 for canceling or rescheduling on the same day. If the appointment is a sick or follow-up visit there will be a $25 fee.
