HPV Vaccine - Educational Event for Parents
Smart Woman: HPV Vaccine for Cancer Prevention
About nine in 10 people will be exposed to HPV, or human papillomavirus, in their lifetime. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly all cases of cervical cancer can be linked to HPV.
The good news: 91% of HPV related cancers can be prevented with an HPV vaccine.
Join our experts, Luq Dad, MD, Charles Parmele, MD, Joanne Ebner, RN and Cassie Roberts, DPN, to discuss the importance of HPV immunization for children in our community. The panel will answer common questions around the HPV vaccine, such as:
- What is HPV?
- Is the HPV vaccine safe?
- Why does my child need the HPV vaccine?
- When should my child be vaccinated?
