Telemedicine Services at SRP
We are continuing to offer Telemedicine services here at South River Pediatrics. Please note, due to the lifting of COVID restrictions across the nation, this service can only be performed if the patient is located in the state of Maryland at the time of the visit.
There continues to be certain appointment types that can be offered via Telemedicine. These visits include medication checks, birth controls consults, behavioral consults, and certain sick visits. Please call the office to see if your visit qualifies.
Telemedicine visits will be scheduled with a provider just as a normal appointment would. Please call the office closest to you to schedule your appointment time.
After your appointment has been scheduled, the scheduling representative will send you a text message with the website you will use for your appointment.
We ask that you log-on to the website five minutes prior to your appointment time, using your mobile device, computer, laptop, or tablet equipped with a camera. The website will prompt you for the patient’s name and you will be placed in a “virtual waiting room.” When the provider is ready to see you, you will be connected to your provider through a HIPAA compliant video call provided by doxy.me.
Please make sure you and your child are in a private, quiet place with good lighting. If you have the ability to obtain your child’s weight and temperature prior to this visit, this information can be helpful.
These visits are medical visits with a provider and your insurance will be billed for the service provided. Co-pays will be collected at the time the appointment is made. If a telemedicine visit turns into an office visit at South River Pediatrics, you will only be billed once for both services. If multiple children are evaluated during the visit, each child’s visit will be billed separately.
Please visit our website to read our "Telemedicine Services Agreement".
